Aliko Dangote was born April 10. The Nigerian billionaire is the CEO and chairman of Dangote Group. He is the richest man in the country and Africa with a net worth of $13.9 billion. Dangote started the business with a small trading firm in 1977 and has become a multi-billion dollar conglomerate. Dangote Cement is the largest cement producer in the continent. His sub companies also deal in the production of sugar, flours, and salt. The business tycoon also has investments in real estate, telecoms and more. Dangote is also a philanthropist.

  • Mike Adenuga

Michael Adenuga is Nigeria’s richest man with a net worth of $5.2 billion. Born in 1953 in  Ibadan, Oyo State Nigeria, Adenuga built his wealth through telecoms and oil production. He is the founder and chairman of Globacom and Conoil, Globacom is the second largest telecoms provider in Nigeria with an estimated 37 million subscribers. Conoil controls 6 oil block in the Niger Delta region.

Femi Otedola was born November 4, 1962. Otedola is a businessman, entrepreneur, philanthropist, Chairman of forte oil and the third richest man in Nigeria. He is also the founder of Zenon Petroleum and Gas Ltd, and the owner of a number of other businesses across shipping, real estate and finance with other investments upcoming in power generation. Father to celebrity DJ, DJ Cuppy, and lifestyle and fashion blogger, Temi Otedola. He is worth an estimated $2.3 billion

Theophilus Danjuma is a former Nigerian defense minister and the founder of oil exploration company South Atlantic Petroleum. He is a retired general, billionaire and philanthropist. He also owns real estate plus a stake in Notore Chemical Industries, a manufacturer of urea fertilizer, as well as a stake in NALComet, one of Nigeria’s largest shipping companies. He is worth $1.7 billion.

Orji Uzor Kalu was born April 21, 1960, and is the founder of Slok Holding. Slok Holdings is a  West African conglomerate with a stake in shipping, banking, oil trading, manufacturing and the media. He is also the chairman of the Daily Sun and News Telegraph. Prior to his political career, he served as the chairman of the Borno Water Board and the chairman of the Cooperative and Commerce Bank Limited. This former governor of Abia State, Nigeria is worth $1.1 billion.
