Augustine Miles Kelechi Edgar a.k.a Golden Boy of Africa, Slim Daddy, Alhaji Tekno but popularly called “Tekno”  is a young musician in the Nigeria music industry, who is making waves in the industry and getting the hearts of many individuals with his lovely grooving songs. The young star was born in the month of December, on the 17th 1992. Tekno miles or simply Tekno is a Nigerian who was born in Bauchi state into a family of five boys and one girl, but hails from Ebonyi State. He grew up in several parts of the country( Nassarawa, Kaduna, and Abuja,) due to the fact that his father was a member of the Nigerian Army. He is a Christian, and is fluent in four languages ( Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, and English). Tekno miles is a singer, songwriter, producer, performer and dancer. His record label is the ” Made Men Music Group”, At the age of 8, he was enrolled in a music school where he learnt and mastered the rudiments of playing the piano and guitar. Tekno has released a lot of smashing hit singles such as Duro, Pana, Diana  and many others, and has also won so many awards.

Music Career

Tekno whose genre of Music is Afrobeats, RnB, and Hip Hop was first signed under “K Money Entertainment” in Nigeria. Tekno Miles first single titled “Holiday” was released by K Money. Tekno featured vocals from Davido in the song, made the song popular and it gained massive airplay from media houses across the nation. In 2012, Tekno Miles performed a song titled ” Onye Ne Kwu ” a remix of Ice Prince’s song ” Oleku” at an event that he was spotted by Julius Agwu and was opportune to meet Ubi Franklin, the manager of ” Made Men Music Group” and Iyanya who he later became friends with. Tekno Miles was encouraged to move on to Lagos to further his music career, this encouragement came from his new found friends Iyanya and Ubi Franklin.

Tekno thereafter signed a contract with Made Men Music Group on the 5th of October 2013. It was under Made Men Music that he released his singles like Dance and Anything which won him a nomination at Nigeria Entertainment Awards in 2014 in the Best New Act of the year category. Tekno Miles song “Duro” which he released on 18th of June 2015 went viral and was accepted by his fans. He released a remix of the song featuring Flavour on the 16th of November 2015, the remix was produced by DJ Coublon. The remix released by Tekno Miles topped several charts in Nigeria and internationally. The remix was no. 5 on Capital Xtra’s and among the Top 10 on Afrobeat’s chart. The hit song “Duro” became popular in club houses across the country and it was sung like national anthem by many people. On 20th of November 2015, Tekno Miles released a single titled “Wash”, the song was produced by DJ Coublon and the video was directed by Aje Films. Tekno hit gold and soared higher in 2016 when he got the attention of Sony Music/RCA and was signed as an international act.
