Linda Ikeji was born Linda Ifeoma Ikeji on September 19^th, 1980. She was born and raised in a Catholic family from Nkwerre, Imo State like most families in the south-eastern part of Nigeria. Her love for newscasting and interviews were also very evident, it was only right that she follow the same career path. After finishing her secondary education at 17, she enrolled in the University of Lagos at the age of 18. Modeling at the time did not pay much, a daily allowance or monthly was not guaranteed, neither was getting hired based on merit or hard work. After graduating from the University of Lagos in 2004, Linda Ikeji set up her own modeling agency called named Black Dove Communications, a name inspired by Silverbird.
